An SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) certificate encrypts the data between your visitor's browser and your website. It is essential for security and trust, and it is a ranking factor for Google.

Understanding Your Options:
BurjHost offers two main ways to get an SSL certificate:

  1. Free SSL (AutoSSL): Automatically installed by cPanel using Let's Encrypt. Perfect for most websites.

  2. Paid SSL: For e-commerce sites needing higher validation or warranties.

Method 1: Activate AutoSSL (Easiest)

  1. Log in to your cPanel.

  2. In the "Security" section, look for "SSL/TLS Status" or "AutoSSL."

  3. Click on it. You will see a list of your domains.

  4. If SSL is not already active, select the domain(s) and click the button that says "Run AutoSSL" or "Issue SSL."

  5. Wait a few minutes. The system will automatically generate and install a free Let's Encrypt certificate.

Method 2: Install a Paid SSL Certificate

  1. Purchase a paid SSL certificate from BurjHost or a third party.

  2. In cPanel, go to "SSL/TLS" > "Manage SSL Sites."

  3. Scroll down to the "Install an SSL Website" section.

  4. Select your domain from the dropdown menu.

  5. Copy and paste the Certificate (CRT) , Private Key (KEY) , and CA Bundle (CABUNDLE) provided by your SSL issuer into the appropriate boxes.

  6. Click "Install Certificate."

Once installed, your site will be accessible via https://.
